Looking for some advice. I cleverly managed to drill into my wall and went through the sheath of a wire.
It wasnt live at the time. The connection does work and is for some under cabinet lighting. It is connected to a fused spur.

However, the wire is exposed inside the concrete wall. Is this a problem?

Thanks

I assume you mean the internal cores of the cable?.....if the actual conductors are not exposed, and the insulation intact, just the sheath damaged, you can slot one side of a short piece of oval, slip it over the damage and replaster......if the insuation and/or conductors are damaged a proper repair will be required.

Hi Tobia,

Wirepuller is right and it is good advice.
If you leave it then I think there is a problem just waiting to happen at some time. Cables should have good insulation and it is best to replace or correctly repair.
(Surprisingly an insulation resistance test may not actually show this damage).
Best wishes
Rex
