Newbie Question

I am faced with some very short cables inside a double socket. What is the best way of extending them? I am thinking Wagos would be acceptable as the back box is accessible, but would like to know the industry standard method please. If anyone can also point me to the appropriate regulation too, that would be great.

Thanks

Dont know about an 'Industry Standard' as things have progressed from connector blocks to Wago's or similar MF connectors, which are as good as anything.
Seen crimps been used before but not advisable on solid conductors.
As per Derek Section 526 on connections!

In-line push fit splices.
Funny you should mention those. Had two ring final faults last week, high end to end on the cpcs. Both circuits had been extended using the inline splices, replaced the ones on the cpcs with alternatives and problem solved.

I was wondering how good they are, now that the Wagos are well-established as reliable.

Alas, maybe they are not something to bother with if you have some Wagos and the space to use them.

The others were all OK though? Wonder if it was a defective one, or maybe it had has some abuse.

I did four on the cpcs, no way of knowing if it was a dodgy one just did the lot but it was two circuits. Never use any of the Ideal brand connectors.
