Hi guys,

I am currently doing an extension which involves 4no. new circuits. I am running them back to the existing mains board. I have to change the D.B to a bigger one so it can house these new circuits. The existing board is a 10way split load board and I will be installing a 15way dual split load board.

What I am wondering is will i have to test the whole house or just my new circuits?

test your new circuits and the new CU. i find it's best in these situations to test the whole installation. you then end up with a respectable schedule of test results, instead of a load of N/A s.

I agree with Tel, test the old as well as the new - who knows, it might just save your life. At the very least you'd be testing it all within the next nine years anyway, right??!

Good point, they do look a bit 6mm-ish when you mention it, and that is not going to last long enough for a D63 to trip! It might, on a good day...
