Hi im wondering what is the cheapest cable for running external along a cantenary wire it will come out of the back of a c/u along the wall alone wire and into garage.

It is 25m long and there will be one socket and one light of a c/u in garage

Kind Regards
Dave

Na only way is with wire, what size rubber cable would i need (25m feeding c/u with 1 socket and a light circuit) - may also add a spur of socket for garage door auto

The most important factor in choosing a cable for exposed external use, is it's UV resistance. Generally black PVC and Rubber cables which are manufactured with a high percentage of Carbon Black in the insulation mix are the most resistant to the damaging effects of UV exposure.

You'll have to do some cable calcs yourself as you are the designer of the circuit. We can't tell you the likely load. Good news is there's prob all the info you need on (or linked to) this forum.

work out your total load, volt drop, and Zs values, then tell us what you think. then we can help.
