Need to replace 4 downlights on 2 outdoor balconies. They will have to fit on the existing 90mm cutouts on the wood.

Does anyone know where I could purchase these from???

Or could I put normal downlights? As although they are external, they are pretty sheltered.

Struggling to find outdoor ones with a 90mm cutout. The old ones were reflector lamps, which they don't really make anymore.

Cheers

Hi, previously in a similar situation I have added a circle of ply over the oversized hole , and then just sized the new cut out to suit new lights. Painted/stained to the original colour, the effect can be (surprisingly!) ok.

Regards.

I emailed bell lighting with regards to the light link i posted above explaining to them that the area is sheltered and not exposed directly. They replied

These fittings are IP rated and Bell Lighting do not recommend the use of their fittings outside even if it is sheltered.

So might be back to square one. Or should I just fit them, as they are trying to cover their asses?

if sheltered under a soffit, i see no need for IP rated fittings. if that were the case , i'd have a load of call backs. rain don't run upwards, it's newtons law of gravity, or something like that. i saw it explained on monty python.
