OP, have you asked your wholesalers on this?
I don't think I've come across such a fitting to ever have the need to ask, but the Ansell units I have used and comfortably changed up to R80's are around £3-4 + VAT.
Skim a ceiling for £40 jaysus. If it's a white or light ceiling TLC do s bigger converter, once they are up they look fine, way better than the R80's and cheaper than replacing the ceiling. I used some from them to cover 170mm holes. Plasterers round here wouldn't get out of bed for £40I can't imagine this converter plate is going to look great, why do they want to convert it? If going from something that big to GU10, the light output in comparison may be terrible. Is it to convert to LED? If so what is the price for an LED lamp for existing fitting?
If it's to look nicer, I'm afraid that's a fail for me, it will look like a mess with a conversion. Would be better to spend a little extra and skim out the ceiling, its hardly going to be that expensive. I know in this area its around £40 for it.
LolI use 3 generally.... and its Murdoch! Why do so many people think it ends in a K??
