Extractor fan recommendations?

Hi, can anybody recommend a good 4 inch extractor fan, it must be:
reduced noise or silent
have a timer (i.e. permanent live)
be less than 40 quid.

If anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate it.

ALSO what are Manrose fans like in general? I'm also after a 'normal' extract fan (not silent, non timer'd) and can get these for a decent price. I see them everywhere but have never used one, what are they like?

i have used manrose. they are not bad for the money. some are a bit noisy. best way to suck air out is a good woman, but they are definitely NOT silent!!! lol

You can get "silent" fans, but they are very expensive.

Try the Manrose 'Gold' rocker, got one from Screwfix and it was the lowest DB level out of all of them in the catalogue

May have to spend a little more than 40 quid for one with a timer. Anything cheaper will usually been noisy from my experience that is.

Yea, it looks that way..... I've gone for a wickes one which claims to be reduced noise... we'll have to see.

Why the hell does a run-on timer cost so much more for God's sake?!

Back to regular fans, what's better, manrose, expelair or can anyone recommend a low-mid priced fan brand?

I've fitted a couple of GET ones in some rental proerties. Cost 13 quid each and do the job, thats with over run too. But a little noisy

I have used Envirovent for a while now, their standard 4in fans are very quite customers don't even mention hearing them when there on. To be honest they look identical to the one Jason has given the link for, Envirovent may be cheaper don't know what discount your wholesaler would give off trade.

I get 4" Vent Axia timer fans for £8.50 plus VAT, do the job for me.
