Hi all, I recently failed my installation of swa cable and TP&N socket outlet and not sure why. Passed the rest. Any advice, It says:

-did not complete connections/terminations to industry standards

-identification/labelling to the required standard.

i presume that the swa used was 4 core?

L1 brown
L2 black
L3 grey
N blue

if you have got the colours in the wrong terminals, it would be a fail.

earth (cpc) needs to be well terminated to the gland via a banjo and a nut/bolt or by another standard connection such as an earthing (piranha) nut.

right size crimp on the cpc link
identified link as PE with tape or sleeve

no exposed copper showing from the terminals.

as above, was the right gland used and correctly installed?

the only person that can tell you where you went wrong is the examiner, have you asked them?
