Cant adam and eve it.. Failed Friday due to using a neon driver as voltage indicator... Bloody disgrace it was.

Mind you he did give me option at end to redeem myself "Can you tell me what the safe isolation procedure is and what are the acceptable tools in order to achieve this..

Apparently wet finger or tounge was not the right answer on this occasion ..

course it is. he's a geordie. they don't use neon testers--too hi-tech.

I think the assessor is just behind the times, nothing wrong with a neon driver, I keep two of them in my tool case one for LV installations and one for HV networks. I labeled them 400v and 11KV accordingly with a piece of masking tape so I don't get them mixed up.

Exactly.. They do the job dont they.. I mean if it lights it live and it it don't its not.. Or gooshed...

I buy all my tools from Ebay.. As long as your not in a hurry then what the problem.. Shipping from Hong Kong takes ages you see
