Some of you maybe aware of the campaign to try and reduce the fuel duty, some of you may not be.

Could everyone please fill out the attached email form that will email your MP, the aim is to stop the forth coming increase in fuel duty and even to try and decrease what we pay. They have succeeded to stop planned increases last year.

So anyone that moans of the price at the pumps, it is your chance to do something about it NOW!

It will not take any more than 2 minutes to fill out, and you will not be bombarded with spam or any other rubbish.

Fair fuel Campaign

Thanks,
Mark

We had the fuel blockade by the truckers & tanker drivers a few years ago.
Did that make any difference whatsoever, I can't remember.

I did a quick explination to an apprentice when he said "it doesnt affect me !"
employer had 50 vans each in use ave 5 days a week 48 weeks of the year using 100 ltrs per week a rise of 5 ppl over the previous 6 months worked out at
50x5=250 x48=12000 x100 =1200000 x 5 =6000000pence OR put another way 4 apprentices or 2 electricians for the year Everything has a cost and every rise in costs takes money from somewhere ie Wagerise doesnt come as company have to spend more on fuel

Done hopefully we will influence his decision. maybe we should put govt on a trades boycott list no sparks, plumbers etc to do jobs for him,see how he likes having to go without things, heating ,lighting gas, water etc,I wish

Thank you for your correspondence to Jonathan Edwards MP regarding a potential raise in fuel duty.

You will appreciate Mr. Edwards receives a significant amount of correspondence and has therefore asked me to respond on his behalf in the first instance.

Since entering Parliament Mr. Edwards has been a strong supporter of the FairFuel campaign and led a whole debate in Parliament which called on the Westminster government to take action on fuel prices, amongst other things, he called for a Fuel Duty Stabiliser. Unfortunately, this was not supported by the unionist parties.

Mr. Edwards is also a member of the FairFuelUK All Party Working Group in the House of Commons which is fighting for lower pump prices.

I have listed some links below which relate to Mr. Edwards’ work on the FairFuel campaign:

The above links are just some of the work Mr. Edwards has received coverage for in relation to his campaign for Fair Fuel.

I trust that the above information will assure you that Mr. Edwards is extremely supportive of your position.

Please do not hesitate to contact the constituency office if we can of further assistance with this or any other matter.

We get all this fluff from those in power about how essential small businesses are, but one thing they could do to help - reduce the tax on fuel - seems to be beyond them! Any logic there defeats me!
