fan isolators

now due to the m regs where do you guys mount your fan isolators. i used to mount them just above the door frame out of the way and it looked good too. just wandering weather we still have to keep these between 450 - 1200?

The 450-1200 rule is correct but that is for new builds only extensions to existing dwellings are not included.

I still mount mine above the door frame.

They are for maintenance of the fan and not a general accessory.

ideal yeah thats what i thought it will look a bit out of the place next to the light switch or low down. This is a new build aswell but i think im still gonna mount it high

yep mount them high, if someone is too disabled to reach it, then they are never going to maintain a fan are they?

There is nothing wrong whatsover with placing them in line with the door lining. As has been mention it is for maintenance. Or you can install in line fans and have the isolator in the roof space.
