Hi
Looked at a job today and seen the the previous spark has put the 3pole fan switch inside cupboard. also there is unswitched fuse spurs for heated mirror and underfloor heating.
The underfloor heating control is also in cubpoard. Are these allowed there as its enclosed but i thought no switches in bathroom.
Any advised welcome.

Surely if they are outside the zones, have 30mA RCD protection and supplementary bonding (if required) they are ok?

Considering you can have a socket outlet 3m from the edge of zone 1 in the same room.

Good point, I was referring more to the switch gear really and hadn't considered the that with regard to the UFH controller.

Is this a wall cupboard or an airing cupboard?

How far is this cupboard from the shower / bath? ie. what zone is it in?
I'd think they'd be okay as long as there RCD protected and outside the zones?

701.512.2 and 701.512.3 only seem to refer to switchgear and current using equipment within zones 0-2 and does not mention items outside of them.......
Isn't that why we are allowed to use a pull switch (45A shower or light) in a special location, as it's above 2.25 M?
