fan tripping rcd

does any1 no to a problem of electronic fans triping a rcd?

Hi rapid, if theres a fault on the circuit sure, what would expect, if and you havent told us, is there a fault somewhere, is the fan faulty or is it connected properly.

i put a fused rcd spur connecting 12v bathroom lighting witch was fine didnt trip but when i connected the fan it kept triping the rcd but if i connected it not through the rcd it worked fine?

Sounds like a faulty fan motor then mate, to take the rcd its a N to E fault as anything else would trip the mcb or fuse whatever the case may be.
