Afternoon all

I am testerless for a few days and have encountered a problem that I would like to fix today. I'm sure it's something obvious that I've missed so if I run this set up by one and all someone I am sure will suggest something that I have over looked, I hope.

Loft lights on their own circuit. The order of the circuit is as follows WALK IN WARDROBE (2 lamps) ---- LANDING (2lamps)-----BATHROOM (4 lamps-feed to fused spur for shaver)------BEDROOM (6 lamps). I have LED GU10 Down lights only on the circuit. All the lights are working fine with the exception of the landing lights, which when I switch off at the switch run very dimly with my continuity testers not picking up any voltage???

I've checked all the connections and removed the feed to the shaver spur.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what may be causing this fault? I'm thinking it's a neutral fault but then don't understand why the rest of the circuit isn't effected.

Cheers

Bingo. That's the one. I had removed all the cables and reconnected but the fault was still there. I then removed the two way after reading your post and connected as a one way and the fault has gone. Either a faulty switch or a damaged 3 core by the looks of it then.

if its just one strapper thats gone just use the cpc..................................................................(joke)

Brilliant idea! Why didn't I think of that sooner.

Well, I've used the cpc but it's ok cos I put brown tape on it and I've written a note and put it in the back boxes of both switches explaining what I've done. :bucktooth:

now you know the cpc should always be at 0volts, so re-jig the circuit so as to switch the neutral. sorted. :94:and don't forget the blue sleeve on the cpc ( as was)
