Hi every one how are you all?

I am starting fault finding when we start back at college after easter and I was just wondering if any one new any good books or websites to help with learning fault finding the way I would have to do it at college, any help would be great.

Not sure about books to be honest, I would say that fault finding efficiently comes to being taught well and being methodical and knowing what your tester is telling you.

Have you done much testing to date? the faults they will simulate on the boards wont be anything to hard to find, Be things like open circuit, reverse polarity, ring within a ring perhaps, bad insulation resistance readings etc.

They should give you cards with a scenario on them and you go from there with the information you are given.:)

And of all of what simon says will find you the majority of faults that you will ever encounter with fixed wiring. Knowledge and experience will teach you the rest, and experience can't be taught unfortunately.

Cheers.............Howard
