I have a fault with some outside lights I had installed, there recessed outdoor lights, Cost quite alot too, there is 5 lights in total and the 3rd & 5th light had stoped working. I have checked all connections, everything is fine, but on the actual neutral lamp connections on the fitting it had got hot and started to burn, the neutral flex to the back of the fitting is the manufactured fitting with no accessible termination. If I change the lamp for another one it works fine. Do you reckon I have a dodgy batch of lamps or a dodgy fitting? The obvious is a loose connection but there isn't, all connections fine

push fit connections on fitting IMO should b banned had load of problems with push fits due to the lamp holder being wiggled into place n possibly slackening the connection
