anyone had similar problems crabtree volex wylex are recalling thousands of faulty breakers back 6a 10a 16a spark im working with has had letter of wylex recalling them and replacing them
 
well Leigh fits wylex/volex but hasn`t mentioned a letter to me.......i will ask him on thursday.....so, anyway, whats the issue with em.....weldin shut?....firein?....not lettin go?....disintegratin when tightenin up terminals?.....could go on.....
 
they wont go to the job to actually replace them though will they
we fit lots of mcbs can you imagine having to go back to all jobs cause of manufactures mess who pays you for that!!

This started 2 years ago guys.
They pay ÂŁ75 per installation to check the batch code then replace mcbs if required.
 
Does everybody know that Electrium have now closed the recall scheme?
I wonder if there are any duff MCBs still out there?
A retired electrician I know thinks that he may have some CUs that need to be checked, I told him to contact Electrium.
