On an EICR today my Megger crackled on a pscc test then started giving a 20ka reading (which giving the EFLI was 0.19 and had a corresponding PEFC seems impossible) and claiming it was overheating. From that point onwards it would no longer perform either a 2 hi or 3 lo loop test and seemed to be inconsistent on r1+r2 readings. Has anyone else had this happen ?

Megger 15 series in my opinion are the best. Had a few 17 series that have put out err 23 codes. This is s an internal clock component issue, had another err29 fault. Internal components issue. Every time back to megger 280 a pop. . I now have purchased second hand 15 series and they last. Megger knows about these issue but claim they are not a common fault. Look
