Hi Guys,
Calling out to look at a faulty shower.Customer informs me that he has measured only 70v at the pull switch.Any ideas apart from faulty switch. Thanks

Yes process of elimination.

Customers says 70 volts ??? Dingy this for a start

Switch shower off at isolation switch then check if the board side is sound ie are you geting a supply
then move on to shower itself.

Mind ask the time honoured question that is have you had this renewed recently as the old 6kw gets chucked out and the 9kw gets put in only problem is the wiring is not rated for this.

other than that good luck

My money is on a burnt out neutral in either CU, pullswitch or shower. Just a guess but an educated one from experience;)

Cheers........Howard

I'll have a fiver on that too.....(pullswitch is a clear favourite....fit pullswitch....tighten connections...wrestle 10mm's back into box, wont go....wrestle some more, finally manage to get them back, previously tight connections now loose as hell...40 amps through loose connection..............)

It’s quite common for an electrician to criticise another’s work as you will rarely get everything perfect.
