Hi guys whats your opinion on a low level fused spur in a bathroom in zone 2 to feed a shower waste pump.

I have been sent to connect up 3 waste pumps, but the previous spark has put a switched fused spur about 300mm above floor level in zone 2 to power these pumps.

Is this acceptable or do you think they should be outside of zone 2.

The regs seem to imply outside zone 2, but i have seen a couple of posts on here saying ok in zone, I am a little confused?

I would have put them high level above 2.25m or outside of the bathroom.

Thanks!

In all seriousness though i try and keep things out of the bathroom, i.e. attic, airing cuboard if possible etc.
Also looks more tidy for the client if there are no spur boxes on show.
My 17th is at work so cannot have a look with regasrds to regs sorry!!
