Feed to switch and rose?

Hi, just a bit of info please, I have changed a light fitting only to find that there is 3 cables in switch and 3 cables in rose? It is my understanding that you can feed switch or feed ceiling rose but I seem to have both? The light seems to be wired as if it is switch fed, neutral going neutral and live going live.
Any info would be much appreciated

Photos of the cables at both might help? (Before you changed anything)

And if you have changed the light, does it actually work, or what is the problem?
