does anybody know any good websites that will explain how electricity is fed back into the grid in technical terms from a solar pv grid tied system

I get asked this question often & would like to point customers to a good site or I might create my own document.

:behead:

I would produce your own ! I use the water analogy as its easier to visualise, also mention that the Electricity doesnt actually go to the "Grid" it will most probably go to the neighbours house !

where the neighbour buys it from their energy co at 14p and currently you sell at 3p - Easy money by the energy companies, plus hardly any losses in the lines (unlike power from the power stations 20%+). Another point to make on the DECC consultation feedback ¬!!

Technically though... it is not 43.3p per kwh the UC are paying for the energy they are selling to your next door neighbour @ 14p plus a wee bit more for the exported energy not used ??
