As in the title really?

I have just bought a Fein Mulitmaster and thought I would stock up with some blades. Fein blades are very expensive, does anyone use alternative blades for there FMM? Looking through past threads some mention saxton or shark. I have used shark and I thought the went blunt fairly quickly but I have nothing to compare them to. Are shark or saxton (or any other alternative) as good as the fein, almost as good, nowhere near as good?

Cheers guys.

Hi Happy,

I have the Bosch rather than the Fein (you posh so and so!!), and have used the Saxton blades for a while now. Am fairly sure the Saxton are good for the Fein also. I have found them to be as good as the genuine Bosch blades without any doubt. Probably been through at least 30 Bosch blades and 20-30 of the Saxton in the last 4-5 years.. The price difference is bloody immense.... Someone's getting rich!!

At the cost of the copies l don't mind hitting the odd nail now, whereas with the 'genuine' blades I would spit n curse!

Personally I would avoid the coarse blades, they seem a good idea but just don't cut it.....literally!!!

Cheers, Neil

Cheers Neil,

Not really sure if I should respond to anyone other than a fein owner don't you know!

I'll give the saxton a go then and compare them to the fein blades that came with the Multimaster.

I use cheap and cheerful blades but do not have the luxury of getting expensive ones, they work and I doubt the others would last five times as long.
Let us know a comparative study.

Will do Richard, will give it a go for a few months first.

just had email. fein blades from £4.odd + vat.

That is much cheaper than I have seen Tel, but I think I'm going to try the saxton, cheers anyway.

I've just bought a Dewalt, I nearly bought a Fein as the price difference with the kits and power is not too far away.
It was the led light on the front that sold me on the Dewalt.
I had used my mates in a cupboard prior, the light is a godsend.
The blades seem ok too up to now.
