Having worked on site with women, they seem to come in two forms, one a really good worker or Barbie with "Eeew, I broke a nail".

Probably if there were a lot more ladies in the trade there would be more of a cross section

[ElectriciansForums.net] Female electricians, for better or for worse?

The main problem is that over the years women have been seen as the weaker sex, the two world wars proved a lot of people wrong as women went in to the factories to do the jobs that the men do, I have no problems but then again certain high risk jobs may be an issue buts thats open for discussion.

I bet the complainers and moaners go home and do as they are told by the wife as otherwise they'll get a clip around the ear.

I like Women Electricians, worked with a couple, they were talented as well, and they make better tea than the male apprentices.

She also won’t allow me to wash up, because I splash water on her wooden work surfaces.
Why do people have wooden work surfaces

I like washing up. It's relaxing.
Isn't the wooden work surface waterproof? If not then why is it a work surface?....

Every female electrician I have seen has been an exceptionally good electrician, very sharp and cluey.
Mock them at your peril !

I think because when you get women working in engineering it's because they enjoy to rather than a block he did because it's what his dad did or what is expected of blocks

It’s wood, it needs to be treated every so often, during which you can’t use it.
Apparently water washes away the treatment?

Joiners I have worked with recommend light sanding and oiling them every month for the first two years to build up a water resistance.

You learn something new each day.
Hats off to the people who designed something you can't use and yet can sell to people silly enough to buy it... :tearsofjoy:
