I had a call late this afternoon from a customer saying that the system we had installed last october had been wired in with reverse polarity ;-) Could I speak to his ELECTRICIAN.

Hello mate whats the problem? I've fitted a 17th edition board and it keeps tripping out on the rcd and my tester is showing a reverse polarity sometimes and neutral-line fault at other times and I THINK it's your satellite system(his funny not mine) WTF!!!!!

I could'nt be arsed to spend too much time talking to him tbh honest so said I'd go over there in the morning and asked him not to touch anything we had installed, too late he has already

I know what he's done and bet you lot know what he's done too the muppet:mad2:

Well that was even worse that I was expecting to find. I thought i was going to find a neutral or two in the wrong block.

Matey boy was fitting a crabtree high integrity board without any test equipment except for a socket tester and couldn't read or understand the wiring diagram(s) he didn't have a single neutral in the right place. We got that sorted only to find a fault on a rfc and decided it was time to head for the hills. We left him to it with little in the way of tools and even less idea of what he was doing.

Not our problem but a mornings lost wages for two and diesel money down the drain in the name of customer service.

Ridiculous to skimp on a DB change after what they would have paid for PV in October...

At the time we fitted the pv system they had a conservatory that has since been replaced with an extension where the new board has/is being fitted. The old board was in a kitchen cupboard.
