I am having to re-sit my fica next week. I passed everything apart from the booth.
It was the motor i was having problems with.
I was just looking for some info to help me out.

i sat the fica about 5-6 years ago? can't remember what was involved in the motor, but i'm sure it wasnt in depth at all. If i remember rightly, you only test down to the isolator (off) to stop you getting readings through the windings? I'll ask one of the younger lads that has sat it in the last year or so if you give us a little more details.

^^^^^in fact, forget the above!! ^^^^

its to do with the wiring of the stop/start station if thats what you failed on. I remember being baffled by the diagram aswel, but if you don't get drawn into it too much, the terminal numbers are all clearly marked. Make sure you are familiar with a simple DOL control circuit, and this will help shed a lot of light on it. Hope i'm helping from my waffle??
