i have just been informed that i have my assessment next week and im starting to panic.i have a job that consists of the installation of a sub main board from the main consumer unit and is fed using a 6mm cable from a spare breaker in the main board.all the tests are fine but i am concerned at filling in a eic.i have been told previously to fill in 2 eic one for the supplyto the new board and one for the circuits from the new board(two sets of three)
on the eic for the new board where it asks for supply conductors would i put 6mm as this is the supply from the existing board or would i put 25mm which is the main supply tails also the pfc woudl i put in the value measured at main board or measure at new board and finally what lables are required on the new board ie sub main etc any advice greatly appreciated thanks

On the supply characteristics section you will put the details of the supply at the intake including Ze and PSC.The characteristics at the new DB will be on the schedule for that DB,including Zs and PSC at that DB.At the Main DB the circuit way will be labelled as any other,ie 'Distribution circuit to DB whatever'...if the distribution circuit cable is visible I usually apply a label to the cable itself as well, identifying it......at the new board you require circuit ways labelled and a shedule of circuits ,it is a good idea on the schedule to give information as to where the distribution circuit is supplied from as well

Good luck!

Don't forget a 2-colours sticker if applicable, an rcd test label and a next inspection label!
