finally getting some site experience!

went out with a sparks that my parents know today. he was working on a listed building. full of dry rot and weak floorboards. cables were already laid on his previous visits (he goes there one day a week) so i spent the morning chiselling out brickwork for back boxes, cutting wattle and daub walls for more back boxes, taking off skirting boards and other wooden trim around the house. the afternoon was spent trying to find a route for the tv aerial cables from the bedroom to the lounge. had no choice but to drill several holes all over the place to see where the cable could run.

loved every minute of it and i cant wait to start my college course (fingers crossed)

Well done Sam. Don't know about everyone else but I thrive off learning new things and they say in this trade you never know it all. So that's means your constantly learning. I like the process of cable routing tho. It feels like your 'planning' that part of the job, which is good as your becoming more competent with decision making... Even tho it was coax :D
