Financial Time reporting Osborne has agreed £5 billion increase in Green Subsidies up to £7.6bn from 2.6bn.

How much of this is going to go to CCS I wonder

that's only the lib dems saying that. I don't reckon that'd actually stop gideon doing it anyway. It's not like he's actually going to give that money to solar, wind or anything else hippies might approve of.

it's come to something when I don't even need to read the details to know exactly what they're doing, yet it's billed in all the press as being an extra £5 billion on peoples bills going to fund renewables. Nuclear may arguably be low carbon, but it definitely ain't renewable.

On space time scale it is.But wee have to wait for our Sun to become Red giant , explode and form new star. Al do bet long waiting time ,but steell renewable for Greg.

T+ 28 months and counting for domestic RHI since the official launch date came and went, and still it's that magic 6 months or so away from reality, and now with added 20 year payback in 7 years time stretching wizardry that even DECC don't seem to understand.

I wonder if Greggy Greg is actually deputising for samual beckett in quantom leap, and just doesn't get the whole linear time thing that the rest of us work to. It'd help explain wtf he's been up to for the last 2 years as well, if he was actually spending most of his time travelling back in time to resolve the life problems of poor unfortunates earlier in his lifetime instead of focussing on actually doing his sodding job.

I just realised we've not actually done a single solar water heating system in the last 12 months btw.

Shambles !! The fact is the government on 4 year tenders can't think or plan longer than that. They just hope things go away ! Nuclear is not a solution, innovation is what's needed. The biggest threat to our country is energy security.
