Hi all, been looking for work in the electrical trade for over a year now and tbh i'm fed up.
I was laid off from my apprenticeship over a year ago. My JTL training officer was a idiot never phoned me about jobs that he heard of ect basicly said everones in same boat.
I've been working for a IT firm doing supermarket checkout intallations not ideal but it pays well and its kept me busy.
I look on the net,check the papers and go to the job centre as much as i can to find work. I need someone to take me on as a apprentice 4 year. i put poster's up in all the local wholesalers. Ive sent out loads of c.v's and not had 1 reply. TBH im thinking of giving up.
Anyone got any tips or know of anyone that can help me. JTL ****ed me off cos i was'nt employed by an electrician for more that 6months. So i'd have to pay for my AM2 ect. Just feel like iv hit a brick wall in the hunt for a job.
