fire alarm cable connection!

a landlord asks me to move a call point of the fire alarm to another location, this should be an easy job, but the problem is the cable length is too short to reach the new location, so i have to extend the cable, i am thinking to add a junction box in the middle and hide the connection inside, do you guys think it is ok? what kind of junction box and connection method do you recommend?

If you have to use a junction box, and it's not accessible, you need to use a "maintenance free" junction box.

thanks murdoch, does the junction box need to be fire resistant? can i just use normal terminal strips?

As it will be wired in fire resistant cable then the joint should have a similar fire resistance so as not to compromise the system

yeh if uve gotta join it out then rele it should b accessible, 20mm metal conduit box, box lid, m4's, stuffin glands, porcelean connectors
