Fire alarm certification

Can somebody please tell me the exact certificates needed to certify a completed fire alarm system. I normally issue a commissioning certificate and this is accepted, however this baron von jobsworth (fire officer) has requested all 3 cerificates, including design certificate.

Can somebody please clarify exactly which 3 he is referring to? When I looked it up there were 7, and I don't want to have look like a pillock and ask him.

For a new installation Bs 5839-1 on page 103 will give you the guidance on your system

If you dont have it and it is a new installation then it says
Certificates for design Installation and Commisioning and a manuel for the system

If its a small system a verification certificate covers it all
The manufacturer,designer,installer all take their individual responsibility

its an avarage sized system in a carehome , 4 zones each with their full compliment of 25 points in use.

i dont think our Am tech software has a design certificate option , i know it deffinatly has installation comissioning and verification

what criteria do i need to meet for a design cert?
