Hi , anyone attended or aware of any decent fire alarm installation/maintenance courses?

Currently I work as an electrician but fire alarms knowledge is limited.

I am in south west Scotland, willing to travel 1-2hrs.

Thanks

Google FIA courses. Im gonna do them soon myself.

FIA training course are held in Glasgow and Endinburgh link Technical Fire Training from the FIA

I just had a quick look at those training courses, especially the one combining units 1 to 5. Seems that this outfit can condense 5 days into 3 days, as well as one or two discrepancies against the individual courses being taken one at at time. Funny how all these courses are ALL (apart from one) for just ''One Day''?? It may well be just me, but i have an inherent distrust of one day courses, that includes some form of testing /exam....

So what's your thoughts on these training courses Tazz, do you come out the other end of these courses being qualified??

Its not a Qualification E54, it a guidance/training course....They are actually good courses, well thought out, and informative. But as with anything, you can`t learn everything in a day. But they expect you to already be in the trade or a spark moving into the industry. At least they don`t charge a fortune like the 5 week electrical courses
