Hi Got a job that involves re-wiring 2 flats.
Ground floor is a shop, with a separate entrance to a communal area for 2 flats, 1st floor is flat 1, 2nd floor is flat.
Each flat has its own main fuse in the flat.
The client has asked for lighting to be installed in communal area, including emergency lighting, fed from shop. We are simply installing 3 non maintained bulkheads and a key switch fed via the communal lighting circuit, does this seem ok, as there is other landlords supply, and the person in the shop is the building owner.
As for smokes in the communal areas is there a requirement for these?
Thanks
Craig
