over the last weekend I added a few smoke heads to a office. I will be submitting a modification certificate but will I also need to supply a log book could do with a quick response as I need to get the invoice in before the end of the month

thanks, Lee

yeah they have but I read something earlier on that said any extra work should include a new log book and it got me confused as to why??

You dont need a new log book, but you have to put in the existing log book any work carried out on the fire alarm system, additions, alterations etc.

Are sounders required on emergency exit stair's if the sound level is below 65 db type l4 system.
There are no sounders on ground floor.
When filling out the variations from recommendations bs5389 is there a code system like when doing a PIR.
Also all the earths were cut off and all alarm cables ran with the mains cables, is it worth making a note of this

You should obviously be aware of a fire from wherever you are in a building, Many people have cut the eraths off over the years, it doesnt hurt to have them connected but i have never come across a system that actually uses them.
