Anyone any thoughts on LD3 fire alarms. For apartment blocks

Have been looking at 2 projects and in both cases the landlord areas have smoke/BGU and sounder systems.
The apartments have domestic 220V combine heatdetector/sounder and smoke detector/sounder (linked) however there is no link between the two systems in one case, and in the other case there is an I/O unit for the LL system in each apartment to be connected to the linked domestic units.

There is no sounder or detection form the LL system in the apartments in either development.

Anyone any thoughs on this, I think it is unusual that there are no LL sounders in the domestic units, anyone any experience of this? is it carried out like to so that commissioning is earier?

Should there be a double knock system in place where the domestic smoke detector links to the landlord system, but the domestic heat detector sets the landlord alarm straigh away?

Thanks in advance.

How old is the system.

To find the awnsers to your questions you need to check the design and commissioning certs. This should (if installed and certificated correctly) detail the design and reasons behind it.
