I have been carrying out some refurbishment work in some offices.

As the ceiling void above ceiling tiles is bigger than 800mm I have been asked to put in smoke detectors.

This has been done today, but do I need remote indicators at low level?

The detectors are still easily accessible through the ceiling grid. and the panel is addressable so any faults are will show up on the panel with a device location.

Thanks

What is the point of them if the panel already says if there is a fault and will say a location?
Seems like a waste of time to me. They are accesssible from a step ladder.

I have wired the detectors into the loop. Would I need to alter my wiring if I do add the remote indicators?

Also, about how much are they for a c tec - apollo xp95 system?
