I have to install fire alarm bases but im not sure of connections and Electrician is of for few days i know the L1 and L2 is in and out but not sure of black connections he left me some Horizon HRZ 1002 Photo Thermal bases that only show number connections 1-2-5-3 its fitted with a shorting spring between 1and 2 and shows minus so think black connection I know he will check them but id like to have them done right :90:

look at the installation instruction leaflet that comes with the detectors/bases.

OP you are giving very confusinng information here......Are you installing Morley Horizon detectors or Apollo.....is the panel a conventional Morley Horizon or another addressable system...???

So 1, what is the control panel make....2 what is the detection make

no its just a CB200 conventional [ElectriciansForums.net] Fire Alarms im just a first year apprentice wanting to get it right so dont know much but would like it to be right im not connecting panel just smoke bases and multi detectors some and sounders

without knowing the connections, you're up a gum tree. just strip the cables, noting which is in and which is out, till you know where they connect in the bases.

I search all my files and internet and cannot find the connections for the Horizon range.....even Morley site has nothing.
Well CB200 bell output will need to be wired into the siren bases in a radial circuit...with last base having end of line resister installed.
And zones will need to be wired in a separate radial circuit....but we will need connects my friend for the in, out and neg terminals to help you any further....I`m sure the 1000 bsd has the terminals marked on the base

no just numbers 1/2/5/3 a shorting spring between 1 and 2 but shows v minus so i take as negative 3 has led marked by diode and shows v+ smoke detector base then has l1 in and out a r minus got to check that one
