first day disaster - ac theory

i attended the AC theory day last thursday and it was a total disaster. It was for the level 3 students and i was totally lost. I became very red faced and decided to leave half way after speaking to the lecturer who was very helpful.

i really have a lot to learn for the 202 exam. im going have to start from the beginning and knuckle down and get my head around the formulas and using a scientific calculator. there is an open university course which gives the basics of using them so i am doing that this week as well as working through the worksheets. i knew this would be the hardest module but my head is in the right place to get this done.

the training provider allows me to complete the modules and exams when im ready and in any order. im completing the 205 in july and am planning on taking on the 202 exam in the autumn or winter.

spoke to the training provider and it was agreed that i would sit my 210 exam and my health and saftey exam the following tuesday. passed both yesterday.

after years of putting this off and worrying out it, im finally doing it and im not going to let this opportunity pass me by

the maths is not that hard once you break it down. post any questions you have difficulty with and i'm sure members can explain.

Work up to things in a progressive way. It is all possible to understand so long as you can work up to it at your own pace.
Keep plugging away and the knowledge will (eventually) start to gel and things you learned as a basic statement or just wrote down will start to make sense as part of the whole.
The forum is always here to help guide you along the path.
Well done on planning a new route for learning and not giving up.

Ooh! I'd love the opportunity to see some of the stuff you're doing.
I'm recently back into the fold and to be honest, I find a lot of the current day "Sploot Ribbit Tweedle Blarb" really confusing.
The conformity, regulations and stuff are simply look-up, but the calculations we now have to do to be sure that our certs and insurances remain safe is akin to stepping into an ice bath as far as your average penis is concerned. And trust me, I've never felt more like a penis in my life, despite having my first wind up Megger in 1980.
