My first pv install.Still got to finish off with signs etc...
For the meter does the CU go on load side?Started to doubt myself

Lol it was like that before i started. That's fine then just wasnt sure if I got mixed up.Got to bloody test it tomorrow. Should be fun

If both those red rotary isolators ar for the PV then you have one too many. Two lockable ones in the same room is overkill.

As GF says, hope you are on the non-rcd side of the CU.

SMA Sunnyboy inverter should be mounted on fire proof board. NIC guy pulled me on this when I was getting accreditation. A square of fire proof plasterboard should do the trick.

My gaffer wants an isolator before and after the meter in case you want to work on the meter??He's a strange one.Got to keep him happy you know how it is.Never heard this about inverter?Did he mention a reg?Do these things produce alot of heat out the back?i presumed the fan would do its job

edit:I'm on the non RCD side don't panic.Read up a good bit before i got stuck in

the need for fireproof board is debatable, as is a lot of NICEIC says!
If thats a partition wall though you may find vibration an issue. If it's a brick wall then just remove the board from behind the inverter and that negates any debate about fireproof board.

Its a firewall hence the trunking. As it's between the garage and house.Cant break the fireseal

trunking's ok, tidies everything up and saves worrying about RCD protection.
It is a nice tidy install

This actually made me laugh out loud. I suppose he puts an isolator between each socket on a ring main too?!

Nothing wrong with putting the extra isolator in - I just don't think it's needed. If the inverter is close to the CU then one isolator (lockable in off position only) will do it.
