FIT for off grid pv? | on ElectriciansForums

Discuss FIT for off grid pv? in the Solar PV Forum | Solar Panels Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

FiT is available for off-grid PV - but you would need a system design that can incorporate an approved generation meter which are only available as AC. The EPC 'D' requirement would still apply.

Is it me or is this getting more complicated every time you look at it???

I'm looking at off grid at the minute. My understanding is 8.9p if it doesn't meet D rating (which mine doesn't) and 21/16p if it does (which mine would in 9 months) but no export. My customer needs electricity now so I'm considering small system now and extend and register it when D is achieved.

Does that make sense - obviously we won't know what the Fit rate is going to be but I can't see if being less than 8.9p.
