Hey guys can you help here how would I fit a plastic double socket box onto metal cladding.

Would I Drill a hole and use self rapping screws or use some sticky stuff? Just guessing here. Normally do households.

Would you drill a hole for a guide first? With self tappers.

Tried blue tac. Too strong I won't be able to remove the socket in forever!

Drill small holes first. Either that or use tec screws. I'd use the impact resistant patresses as well.

I thought the whole point of the self tapping screws where to drill their own hole, I don't understand what you'd gain from drilling a smaller hole first? Just make the job take longer in my eyes? Unless you are talking about the self tapping ones with PH/PZ heads on, and not the HEX 8mm type?

self tapping screws need holes drilling. the self drilling (tec) ones don't.
