Fitting outside rcd sockets

Hi Guys,
I have been asked to install a double rcd protected double socket on an outside wall, to allow the plugging in of a lawn mower & water feature.
The water feature comes with it's own cable, but can i use steel conduit to run the cable from the house to the garden feature as added protectioin and would i need to take power this from the consumer unit as a separate connection or can i take it from the current ring main via a fused 13amp spur.
Any information would be welcome

If in England, this work is covered by Part P of the Building Regulations. Also, the work requires a Minor Works cert, which in turn means that the ring you intend to use requires testing (sorry if you know all this already!).

All of the above covered, there's no problem using galv conduit to protect the water feature's supply cable, and the use of a fused spur is acceptable.

Regards,
George

As above just like polo says.

When burying cables it as to be in swa or conduit (as above) at a depth of 600mm for a garden and with caution tape on top of the cable. Is the ring protected by an rcd already? If not you can use a rcd socket in an ip65 rated enclosure which you can run the fountain from. Again this falls under part p and tests are required before and after the work.
