Hi all firstly thanks for your replies regarding elecsa assessment, now coming onto my main point i have 10 years experience as a sparky but in the army so i am after a few ideas about domestic installation.
When running in a channel I am going to use cable capping either metal or PVC but does anyone know different methods eg. flexi conduit etc?

Thanks Hutch.

best to pin both on the outside so just the nail head pins it back, so dont drive the nail head through the actual capping but into the wall, and if wall is crap drill and plug then nail into the plug

oval conduit isn't as wide as capping and is a lot neater. Also a lot easier to fix, as capping can split. Just stick oval tube in the wall and fix a screw in either side, or put a washer on the screw for a tight fix

if you're going to use oval tube, fix it correctly with the correct sized clips, drilled and plugged. nails are for wood butchers who ain't learnt how to use a screwdriver!
