Hi all,

Is using the wooden peg method the best way to fix metal back boxes for switches and sockets on cob walls?

Sand and cement is a no no for securing or filling holes but can gripfill be used?

Thanks

I have seen the question asked a few times on the forum lately but not sure if any definitive answers have been forthcoming. If you do manage to get some expert advice, it might be a good thing to post your findings up for the reference of others. It's certainly a specialist area that most tradesmen wouldn't have a clue about.

Just a thought but shouldn't we be treating this "specialist area" as we would are own? Its ok getting advice from specialist on this, because it's interesting to find out how they do things, but as for doing the job then the specialist should be doing it, shouldn't they?
