Flashing dimmer LEDs, what's the reason?

Hi, I've installed two dimmer 60w Led bulbs, one in the bedroom and the other one in the dining room.

The first one is controlled by a 400w 2 Gangs 2 Way Dimmer BT (this one British General 2-Gang 2-Way 400W Push Dimmer Switch White | Dimmer Switches 400W | Screwfix.com) which control both the bulbs.

The second one is controlled by a 400w 1 Gangs 2 Way Dimmer BT (this one British General 1-Gang 2-Way 400W Push Dimmer Switch White | Dimmer Switches 400W | Screwfix.com) which control just the bulb in the dining room.

What's the reason the bulbs are flashing when the light is on? May it depends by the switch or by the bulbs?

Incompatibility between the dimmers and the LED lamps.

EDIT: 60w LED bulbs - cripes how bright are they??

Doesn't look like either dimmer is for LED lamps,time to contact the lamp manufacturer and see what dimmers they recommend for use with the lamps.

What do you suggest? To change the dimmer or the bulbs? Is there any "standard rule" or do I need to do some try?

Contact the lamp manufacturer and see what sort of dimmer they recommend for use with the lamps. For some reason LEDs are funny buggers when dimmers are involved.

Go back to the shop where you bought the LED lamps and ask them....

They sold you the product, they should be in a position to advise...

Bought them at B&Q, already asked... they did not give me any advice at all...

Take the lamps back and use normal lamps then, unless you want to buy dimmers which can dim LEDs, they are costly.

In which case take them back for a refund.....

then go to a retailer who can sell you "compatible" parts.

Try the Varilight trailing edge dimmer switches (available from Screwfix) they should be able to correctly dim LED lamps.

Take them back and go your local electrical wholesalers they'll give you comparable ones and they'll be cheaper

I wonder if they are 60w incandesent equivalent aprox 10w leds ? not seen a 60w led household bulb yet!
Early leds were rated at 90 to 285 v so dimming was not possible as the electronics tried to keep the voltage/currant steady so they were either on or flashing on or off. the later dimmable type need special dimmers (as mentioned earlier) check with the lighting manufacturer or google trailing edge dimmer (most incandesent dimmers are leading edge and rarely work with leds)
