Hi all need some advice on some flats,
we are currently doing the electrical works at a refurb project with new flats being built above the refurb.
Our situation is to get sap we need on the 14 new flats we have been advised to have solar PV.

Firstly our our sub station next to property will only allow us to have 5kw per flat otherwise we have to upgrade sub station,
our landlords supply only being single phase & not three phase causes small issue with the amount of units to be installed, talking about 56 panels 14kw for the flats. so firstly we are over 10kw so G59, second landlords single phase.
So my thought supply the 14 flats each having own solar on the flat roof, using micro inveter as these are tiny flats thus saving inveter in flat.
We are having meter in communal cupboard in one location for flats, so can we use PV system on the project?
Sub main runs are 65 meter runs to furthest flat would we be ok feeding into the flat as our fuse box for the flat is remote from metering point. (Similar to installing solar PV on a sub main circuit)
anyone see any problems? My thought was they can't stop you installing domestic PV on the flats but could stop us if we fed all through landlords am I correct in my thinking?
Any advise would be appreciated

We are doing something similar for a social housing project. The solar arrays are wired into each of the flats as normal. For the landlord to get the FIT you will need to install gen meters in each of the flats and if these are GSM enabled SMART meters the landlord will be able to access this info remotely.

Hello to you both thanks for replies
we have 47mpan numbers, but only need the PV on 14 flats plus landlords.
Question was we have sub main cables to flats with meter locations in central electric plant room so swa to each plot. Will we be ok with using PV system on the flats.
Many thanks marc

You need the DNO's permission even if less than 16A (3.68kW) per flat as it's multiple locations in close proximity, its a G83/2 pre-install application, talk to your DNO though.
