I've had a request for a job that I've not come across before and that is to go an inspect a property that has suffered flooding. The homeowner has told me that the electrics have been turned off and that she needs a quote for insurance purposes. I can't say at this point what has been damaged or how high the flooding went as I haven't visited the site yet. My question is how much does one price for inspecting such a job? I don't envisage replacing cabling until the insurance company agrees to fees and I'm ok with working out the costs for a rewire, I'm just not sure how much to charge for an inspection.
Thanks in advance.

Pends to what lever the flood went. If cabling was submerged then it needs to be replaced, unless you put junction boxes everywhere you might consider a complete rewire. That is the downside of a ring mains. It just loops through.

do a full eicr paying particular attention to anything that has got wet. this will more than likely take all day, time you've filled out the eicr and recommendations, so at least your day rate . about £200 - £250???

If it has had foul water flooding they may have to take the floors up any way , it may pay you to liaise with other trades quoting if you know who they are . The flood repairs we had here recently went into months , over a year in some cases.
