I work at a small sports park where we have a grass football pitch with 2 sets of 7 2kW floodlight heads per side and a 3G pitch with 2 sets of 4 1kW floodlight heads per half. Each set is on its own switch which control relays. All run at 400v.
My issue is, once every few months one side (x4) of the 1kW lights will go out. No trips go out and the switch is still on and the other side of the lights stay lit. We have them on for about 4-5 hours per night 6 days of the week and they only seem to go out after no more than 30 minutes of them being on. Also it's always the same side that goes out. The other side never seem to have any issues.
We have had an electrician down to have a look but they say there is nothing obvious causing it. It's nothing that affects us hugely, I was just curious as to what could be causing them to go out at random and if the issue could be fixed.

Thanks in advance
