Can anyone shed some light on this for me, called to an industrial unit where power was tripping 300mA RCD from another building that was supplying it via 6mm 4 core swa. Turns out the TNCS supply from the first building supplied the other and exported the earth, however someone
had done extensive work on the second unit and added an earth rod so the unit had TNCS and TT. I measured 115mA in the earth with board
switched off. Disconnected the TNCS and left the rod with Ze of 3.15 ohms.
Problem is 5 of their fluorescent fittings are now buggered, could this have been caused by the 4 tig welders they use along with the weird earthing. Just the tig's or perhaps a faulty batch of fittings ?
Not had any dealings with welders so could do with some help if possible.
Many thanks in advance
